Thread: New People

  1. #1

    Default New People

I just realized that my start date was like six years ago and now I don't recognize like....any of the mods or admins. And I just wanted everyone to know I'm really sad by that. So many people are gone now. . Anyone wanna be nostalgic and post about old times with me?

I remember asking Fighter to reset my reputation once. He was all sorts of confused as to why I'd do that. I was being an objector to the system then. My rep still hasn't recovered :P

Oh, I'm not bothered but not ever having been one. I would be terrible at it and then there's that whole complete lack of desire thing. Yes, I know, there is a drug for that.

I found it fairly interesting while I was one, but then again, the forum activity has seriously tanked since back then.

Even t&p has begun to die. On average there's two active threads and their usually about almost the same thing.

part of the issue is that once people become mods, and staff they stop posting. And I swear we have one mod for each poster.
Note:Any posts made by this poster should always be construed in the most innocent angelic way possible. The poster is not responsible for where your depraved minds go, if you have a depraved mind.

1 admin, 4 super mods (counting the two head multi-hunters who have SMod privileges as part of their forum rank), and 6 regular mods, according to the "View Forum Leaders" button. Methinks you exaggerate a bit much, as I'm pretty sure General Chat alone has a lot more than 11 people posting semi-regularly.

I think it's just all part of the natural cycle and the forums (and the game itself) are reaching end of life.

Hell, I've been post here for going on 8 years now and I wasn't even present at the height of the forum activity.

Really? I remember this place being packed 6 years ago. Its harder for me to come around than it was in highschool, but if the forum ever just shut down and I lost everybody suddenly forever...I'd actually be quite upset about it.

    I can't believe it's been 7 years. Absolutely crazy.

When I think of old posters that I miss, I think of Zingoleb. I wonder what happened to that guy.

Exactly.....you now have to toe the Travian line. I know how it is, I was a mod, I didn't toe the line....I was called on the carpet. I did not violate any of the forum rules....I simply told someone I felt their pain at the complete and utter inaction of the complaint department and the inaction of the plus department regarding some gold issues I had. Because I as a mod publicly talked about these problems I had, I was called on the carpet. Once you become a mod or staff, you are not allowed to publicly disagree with or voice any dissatisfaction with Travian policy. YOu really do have to toe the line and spout the company line.

I remember when you'd post and check back two minutes later and there was a full on new page. I wonder if Travian ever goes down if we can convert the forum to a non-themed one. Bet we'd pick up a few more people too since it'd be less specialized.

if you can imagine having to defend your sisters honor by continually climbing a water tower to paint over the defamation or erasing her number in the bathroom stall then you can imagine what it is like to be a mod
