    Default FTP's Reverse Mafia 2.0

Hello and welcome to my second hosting of Reverse Mafia.

What is "Reverse Mafia", you ask?

    Good question.

I hosted a setup under the same name previously, but this time it will be very different. This time the mafia will actually be the ones doing the lynching, and the town will be the coldblooded killers. The core mechanics will still be the same.

    The Premise

In the small village of Talk and Play there has been a long history of a never-ending battle between good and evil. Until recently, the townspeople had been trying relentlessly to rid the village of organized crime once and for all.

And for a while, it had seemed the townies had finally triumphed over the mob. The last of the mobsters, along with all of the most evil Godfathers to have ever lived, were thrown into prison. Months went by with no incident. Villagers enjoyed their happy care-free days.

    Until February 28th, that is.

For on February 28th of the year 2016, some of the most notorious mobsters to have troubled the village of Talk and Play broke free from prison and sieged the town.

Within hours the village was overrun by the mafia. Townies were forced to work for the mob at gunpoint. Those who refused paid with their lives. All hope seemed lost for the good innocent citizens of Talk and Play.

A small faction of rebel townies began staging attacks against the mafia, meeting in secret under the cloak of darkness in order to collaborate and discuss their next moves.

When the mafia caught wind of these rebel townies, paranoia ensued. Any one of their so called "comrades" could actually be a townie in disguise! As such, it is only fitting to begin lynching off the most likely suspects. And so it begins...

    RULES:

-One player is voted to be lynched each day. The Town makes one kill each day.

-The Mafia wins when all townies are lynched. The Town wins when they outnumber the Mafia.

-KP cutoff is 4 PM EST. Submit votes and specials by this time.

-"No Lynch" is permitted on any day.

-ONLY THE Town MAY PM! They are essentially the "mafia" faction in this setup.

-Do not role-claim. Ever. Subtle hints, however, are allowed. PM me if you're unsure.

    THE ROLES:

    Mafia

Godfather: Vote automatically counts for double. Once per game, can stop a lynch.

    Prostitute: Role-blocks

Stalker: Can choose to either watch or track someone, but not both on the same night.

    Interrogator: Investigates alignment.

    Mafia Goon

    Town

Disguised Mayor : Submits Town kill choice each night. Appears as Mafia to the interrogator. Vote automatically counts for double.

    Role-blocker

Detective: Can find out a player's exact role.

    Townie

    Players (7/9):

    Ronnie
    Scarecrow - Mafia Goon
    Rokchick
    Mbstokem
    Vinit144
    FA Slippery
    Seba
    Drystan - Mafia Goon
    Flossie

I'm going to extend day one an additional 24 hours. It wasn't fair of me to give you a short day. First KP will be tomorrow at normal time. DON'T FORGET TO VOTE/ SUBMIT ROLES! If you have a role and you don't want to use it, let me know so I don't assume you're inactive!

If we no lynch the once, it is better for us to no lynch one other time throughout the game. Alternatively, voting for someone every night without a no lynch at all gives good odds.

    9 - 9
    8 - 7
    6 - 5
    4 - 3
    -Loss

Of course, this doesn't account for any roleblocks.
I'm going to withhold my vote until I see which way we want to take this.

You all are a bunch of dirty rotten townsmen!

Not one of you lot are listening to Beethoven Piano concerto no. 5 with Valdimir Horowitz playing and Herbert Von Karjian (sp???) conducting....the greatest recording ever! Glen Gould is good too....but the Vladimir/Von Kajian recording is the greatest.

Grr I can't find it but this will have to do:

So, the way I see it there is 1 tracking role, 1 roleblock, and 1 alignment role for the mafia. That leads it to us having a good chance of having one night of no kill/finding out someone guaranteed to be mafia, with the extra night.

    EDIT

    KP 1

    *Notes:
-Votes for "FTP" were not counted as votes. Yeah, I'm a mean host.
-Remember to bold your votes, and whenever you change your vote use: Unvote: Player
-Any pronouns used in the KP when referring to roles are not indicative of actual players' gender.
They are merely for the sake of storytelling.

As the sun began to set in the village of Talk and Play a deafening roar echoed in the town courtyard, where an enraged mob of mobsters had gathered. There, at the center of the courtyard, knelt Scarecrow. His face bruised, his spirit broken - he cried out in anguish as he was beaten relentlessly by his very own partners in crime. He had long since given up on trying to convince the others he was one of them - there was no hope.

Instead, he simply accepted his fate. What difference did it make anyway? He was just a Mafia Goon, a grunt, a hired gun... bottom of the food chain. He had only recently become a member of the T&P Mafia, albeit through blood and trial. But in the end, it didn't even matter. He had played his part, and through his actions he had made enough of a living for his wife and daughter for at least a year or so. Surely they would be all right without him. "Perhaps," thought Scarecrow "I was meant to die here - at the hands of my brothers. Perhaps this was all necess-"

Scarecrow's thoughts were interrupted with a swift kick to the head.

As he shook off the dizziness, a revolver came into focus. It was aimed directly at his head - cocked and loaded. The man clutching the revolver was perhaps the coldest and most bloodthirsty criminal to walk the earth. He was known simply as the "Godfather" by most of his affiliates, and he wore a mask and fedora to hide his identity.

All around, Scarecrow was surrounded. Cheers of excitement from every angle were the last sounds he heard.

He didn't even hear the sound of the gun, in fact - for a bullet fired from a .44 magnum travels faster than the speed of sound.

As the night wore on, the chaos began to die down, and silence ensued. Drystan slept soundly in his cot, dreaming of Scarecrow's enthralling demise.

It had been a gleeful moment for Drystan. He had loaned Scarecrow a huge lump of dough a month ago (before they were thrown in jail) and never got paid back. Scare had been complaining about some dumb bull**** about going through "hard times" with his family... or something stupid like that. Anyway, Drystan knew he could seize the opportunity by loaning Scarecrow money and charging a reasonably absurd rate of interest. For a profit, of course.

But as it became clear that Drystan wasn't going to get his money back he began to stir up rumors about Scarecrow associating with the townie underground. Nobody liked Scarecrow anyway, so it didn't take long for the trash talk to catch on.

And of course, after the mob broke free from prison and Scarecrow was gone, Drystan made sure to loot his home. He robbed Scare's family at gunpoint and took what little they had. It's not like they needed it all any way.

Suddenly, a violent pounding stirred Drystan awake.

Annoyed, he hobbled over to his front door and shouted, "HEY! GO AWAY, *******!"

But rather than leave, the unwanted visitor began hitting the door even harder. By the sound of it, Drystan could tell they were trying to kick it down. "I WILL ONLY TELL YOU ONE MORE-"

    THUD!

Drystan lay in a heap on the floor, underneath his solid oak door. Quickly, the visitor dashed over, seized him and bound him from head to toe with thin wire. Drystan didn't even have time to struggle.

Slowly, Drystan gazed up at the intruder. There, before him, stood a strong woman in a tan trench coat. "Who are - er - have I seen you before?" stammered Drystan.

    "You know who we are."

    "'We'"? Drystan asked.

And, as if on cue, two others joined the mysterious woman. Each of the three carried a makeshift weapon: a baseball bat, a shiv, and a slingshot.

"Drystan," the woman began "You are a tried and convicted criminal, who has worked as a Mafia Goon for far too long. You managed to escape from a life imprisonment, but now your penalty is worse... death."

With that, she raised her bat and swung it down hard in a fluid and effortless motion.

    Drystan went limp.
