The forum goes offline for 2 weeks from this weekend. Not a good time to start as i cant garentee that the thread migration will work so anything made here could be lost.

Just a warning no one really knows at this stage what will or wont work on migration. They plan to take threads across but we will have to wait and see

I suspect that i will be rather busy once the new forum is up with trying to fix issues but if you folk want me to play again (seriously you saw how bad i was last time) then i might join in after summer vacations are over

There's even a Travian discord server already! Unless we think mafia needs a separate server.

Although I prefer forums to chats for mafia -- the messages are more set in stone, and the search functions are more effective. Forums just make a better forum for mafia than discord.

Well for hosting mafia games on Discord servers the owner cannot play (you are the owner of that server). I've run Discord games before and they work quite well (especially if you get everyone online at the same time).

Also, Discord is way better for searching than forums.

I actually almost prefer forum mafia to in person because of the power of archived rounds and searchability. But yeah, that's why I don't particularly wanna join the chat versions of the game. Just not as desirous of that kind of play
