    Default Mafia Round XXVIV (29) Game Thread

    Game basics:

    Mafia is a game of logic and deceit where 4 opposing teams; the Villagers, independents and the two mafia families. The mafia are killers whose goal is to take over the town by outnumbering the Villagers, AND kill off the other Mafia family by placing votes for lynches and killing off a member each night.

    How This Round is Different:

    1. You will not know how many werewolves, indy's or villagers there are.
    2. Not all roles will be used.
    3. There will be multiple of some roles.

    The Rules for the Game:

    • Mafia is divided into rounds, or ‘days.’ Each round lasts for 24 hours and will begin/end at 10PM EST Time.

    • In that amount of time, the players of the game decide who as a group they want to Lynch by voting. To vote, you must state that it is a vote. The player who receives the most votes will be killed at the end of that day, unless he is saved.

    • The Mafia (Werewolf pack in this game) has the power to kill a player once each day by messaging me, the host, the players name. That player will die unless they are saved. The Pack also must tell me which of their players they will send to do the job.

    ---The werewolf pack has a 50% chance of turning their victim into a werewolf, which then joins their pack and is given a random unused role of that pack.

    • Most players have a special power that they can use once per day. Within that day, the player must message me how they are going to use their power, even if it is to abstain from using it.

    • Specials are made void if they are killed before getting the chance to use it.

    • Only the current Godfather/mother can send in that night’s kill. Exceptions can be made if the Godfather/mother is not active, or can not send the kill for that night.

    • If you wish to show suspicion for someone, but do not want to vote for them, use the same format as if you were to vote, but instead, call it a FoS (Finger of Suspicion.) I will keep track of all FoS and votes.



    Rules and Requirements

    1. Once the game has started, keep the spamming to a minimum. When I think that you’ve spammed excessively, you will receive a warning. 3 warnings then auto-kill.
    2. Stay active on the thread. Inactives get auto-killed. To be active, you must post or PM me your special at least once within that day/round. (This isn't really true. I'm a really relaxed host. Don't abuse this, please. I don't want to have to be strict.)
    2-2. This rule isn't enforced until after the first set of kills.
    3. The dead cannot post at all after they have died.
    4. Voting is done publicly.
    5. Posting private messages is NOT allowed. It is a game of deceit and intellect, after all. It’s up to the players to decide who to believe.
    6. No screenshots can be posted or sent to other players! If somebody sends you one, please report it to me and they will be auto-killed. Thank you.
    7. PMing will be allowed.

    Ties between factions are solved by random.org.

    Roleblocks
    Investigations
    Saves
    Bodyguards
    Kills

    How to Win

    * The villagers win when all mafia are dead.
    * The werewolves win when they outnumber the villagers or when all villagers are dead, AND the other werewolf pack(s) are dead.
    * The independents win when they're the last individual standing.

    Roles:

    The Village:

    Normal Roles:

    Townie - has no special powers.

    Persuasive Townie - May steal one person's vote per day. They gain two votes instead of one.

    Loud Townie - Can vote twice by PMing me their second vote.

    Town Drunk - Is told they are the Loud Townie, but their two votes actually take one away from who they are voting for. (If they vote for two separate people, the second vote takes one away.)

    Hairy Man - Appears to be a werewolf. Is told they are a townie.

    Lynchee - Told they are a townie, but if they are lynched while the lyncher is alive, the lyncher wins.

    Mayor - Can stop a lynching for anyone except themselves. They cannot stop a lynching for the same person twice in a row. And, they can stop all specials for a night once per game. They cannot stop their own lynch, but they can still stop all specials for that night.

    Hobbyist - Has 4 items (roleblock, protect, kill, investigate) which can be used once each, and a secret item which has a mysterious power.

    Insane Hobbyist - Can target someone each night. They randomly either kill, protect, or investigate them.

    Head Cleric - If lynched, the people are horrified and instead, lynch the first person to accuse the Head Cleric. The Head Cleric's role then becomes known to all. Can be killed at night. The Head Cleric can also recruit town members to be clerics. Clerics know each other, and cannot be turned into werewolves.

    Meditating Mage - Meditates at night while under the protection of a nigh impenetrable protection aura. Can not be killed by at night by anyone except the Omega Wolf and the Insane Hunter.

    Orange Mage - If lynched or killed at night, casts a spell of darkness over the town the immediate next day. No one may talk in the thread (it will be locked) or PM anyone but Ronnie. Everyone must PM Ronnie votes and specials.

    Wise Hunter - Can protect, kill, and investigate all in the same night, but may never post or PM.

    Scent Maker - Manufactures scents after the scents of two people. The scents are applied to the opposite person, making any targets for person A go to Person B because targeters are confused by the scent.

    Killing Roles:

    Man with a Silver Bullet - Has a 50% chance to survive an attack against him. May kill one person per game.

    Hunter - Roams the woods at night, searching for werewolves. Can kill one player per night.

    Gray Mage - Kills anyone who tries to kill him at night. The Alpha, Beta, and Omega Wolves are the only ones that can kill him at night. (Able to be lynched.)

    Third-Eye (Investigative) Roles:

    Seer - Can investigate someone for their innocence by reading their mind. Pack Leaders and Independents except Serial Killer appear innocent.

    Insane Seer - Told they are the Seer, but gets false readings on his investigations.

    Optimistic Seer - Told they are the Seer, but always gets innocent readings.

    Paranoid Seer - Told they are the Seer, but always gets guilty readings.

    Scryer - Scries the house of one person each night, and can see who targeted that person through the night.

    Mind seeker - Able to find the mind of one person at night, and watch through that personís eyes to see who that person visited at night.

    Purple Mage - Chooses one post from a person every day and sends it to the Host to check if what is said is true.

    Magic (Healing) Roles:

    Blue Mage - Has the power to cast a protective aura around a player each night. The aura protects the player from any attacks for the night it is cast.

    Green Mage - Combines their magic with dancing to cast a spell on a player each night. The player under the spell cannot use their special power that night.

    Yellow Mage - Casts an unstable protective aura around a player each night. If that player is attacked, the aura protects them, but if the player is not attacked, then the aura has a 50% chance of killing them.

    Weak Mage - Uses all of his strength to cast a protective aura around another player each night. If that player is targeted, the Weak Mage dies instead.

    Blitz Mage - Uses all of his strength to cast a powerful protective aura around a person each night. If another player tries to kill the protected player, the attacker and the Blitz Mage will die.

    Black Mage - Able to resurrect a player. May resurrect only one player per game.

    Apothecary - Creates a variety of antidotes to cure any poison, and delivers a vial to one player each night. If that player was already poisoned, they are now cured. If the player was not already poisoned, they are immune to poison for two nights.

    Mind Healer - Targets one person per day. If they target the Psycopath, the Psycopath becomes a townie.

    Red Mage - Upgrades one person's role every 2 nights. Upgrades very depending on the original role. Does not work on Mafia, Independants, or certain villagers.

    White Mage - Can cast a powerful protective aura around a player at night which lasts for two nights.

    Werewolves

    Alpha Pack Wolves:

    Alpha Wolf - Leads the Alpha Pack of Werewolves. Decides who will target who at night.

    Gamma Wolf - Is undetectable. The Scryer cannot see who visits the Gamma Wolf, and the Mind seeker cannot see who the Gamma Wolf targets at night.

    Zeta Wolf - Can chase another player into a tree at night, preventing them from using their special.

    Kappa Wolf - Has poisonous fangs. If sent to kill, it will bite its victim, and the victim will die the next day if not immune or if the victim does not receive an antidote the next day.

    Sigma Wolf - Has some magic in it, and can cast a protective aura around another player at night.

    Beta Pack Wolves:

    Beta Wolf - Leads the Beta Pack of Werewolves. Decides who will target who at night.

    Delta Wolf - Has a special one-shot power. The Delta Wolf can be sent on a kill, and will make its victim appear to have been the Delta Wolf. The Delta wolf will then, for the remainder of the game, appear to have the power of its victim, and can use that power unless it is a killing power.

    Theta Wolf - Has an extremely fine-tuned sense of smell, and can determine what role another player has.

    Psi Wolf - Has a powerful mind, and can use it to take command of another player during the night phase. The Psi Wolf can control who its victim will target at night. The Psi Wolf must make a kill before each time it uses its power, and cannot make a kill in the same night it uses its power.

    Omega Wolf - The Omega Wolf, if sent for the kill, can target a player and kill them regardless of any protection its victim may have.

    Independent Roles:

    Warlock - chooses two targets, as well as back-up targets. The next day, those two people's roles will be switched. Person A has access to Person B's role, and Person B has access to Person A's role. Neither can use their original role while this effect is in place. This is only temporary, and lasts a day. A human roleswapped with a werewolf will not know the other werewolves. Also, the two people being roleswapped do not know each other.

    Mad Warlock - Has a 25% chance of killing his target if his target is a werewolf, a 25% chance of transforming his target into a Rogue Wolf if his target is not a werewolf, and a 50% chance of doing nothing to his target. There can only be one Rogue Wolf or rogue Wolf Pack at any time.

    Rogue Wolf - This wolf has a killing power. If he targets a member of an existing, non-full wolf pack, or vice-versa, then he becomes part of that wolf pack. If he targets a member of an existing, full wolf pack, then that member dies and he takes their place. If a full wolf pack targets him, then he dies. If he targets a non-werewolf, then his target becomes a werewolf and he starts his own werewolf pack with the new werewolf and can no longer become a member of an existing pack. He is now the Rogue Alpha Wolf of this new pack, and any werewolves of his pack will become a random Rogue Wolf version of any role from either Alpha or Beta packs.

    Secret role - has a different, random passive power every day. (i.e., appears guilty, double vote, bulletproof)

    Amnesiac - has a different, random active power every day. (i.e., killing, investigative, roleblocking) Is different from the insane hobbyist in the respect that he knows what he will do every day and can take on any active power.

    Psychopath - Kills one player every day, becomes a normal townie if targeted by the Mind Healer.

    Forgetful Hobbyist - Has a collection of one-shot power items, but has no idea what any of these items does.

    Night One

    The town decided to Lynch No Lynch

    No Lynch was lynched and was a Loser.

    The weak mage just picked a name out of a hat and protected Shader.

    Shader was protected by the Weak mage

    The psychopath was following Saravasti and eventually stabbed her in the back and killed her.

    The Psychopath killed Sarasvati who was a Townie.

    The Hunter went over to Toucan's house and attemped to stab him in the back but it did not work somehow.

    The Hunter tried to kill Toucan but failed.

    The Alpha wolf was on the hunt. He came up to his target looked at her and just decided to stab her again to be safe.

    The Alpha Wolf killed Sarasvati yet again... And was still a Townie.
